Do you ever start preparing for a trip, and you do not want to have so much stuff to have to bring with you? Then take a look at this blog to get some insight on how to pack light and efficient!
Clothes: You want to make sure you have enough clothes, but that you do not have too many! Plan your outfits ahead of time, so that you know exactly what clothing items you will need.
I would say that these items are really the essentials you would need on any trip. If you are flying outside of the country, of course make sure you have your passport with you. Other then that, I would suggest packing these items first, and if you have any additional space, then consider packing some extra items you feel are necessary!

We all know that July Fourth is going to look a little different this year then previous years, but that does not mean that you and your friends and family still can't have fun! We hope this blog post gives you some fun ideas of things you can do this holiday weekend that will give you memories that are going to last a lifetime!
1. Create your very own water park- in your backyard!! If you have little ones who want nothing more than to be at the beach or pool, and you cannot do that right now, try making your own water park. Walmart has some fun water games that you will just need a water hose for! Maybe even have a fun water balloon fight! Everyone will have a blast! 2. Plan a Picnic! For those who do not like (or have) to grill, consider packing a picnic. You can even do it in your own backyard, or you can find a cute spot at the lake or somewhere in town! Enjoy being outside and with your loved ones. 3. Take a Walk in the Park! This one can tie into the picnic idea if you want. LaGrange has different parks throughout the community, and there is also the Thread all throughout downtown. Take in the nature around you. 4. Make homemade popsicles! There are so many recipes all over the internet for different homemade popsicles that are sure to be a hit! You can purchase popsicle molds at pretty much any store, and you can make really healthy, but tasty options too! 5. Make a festive craft! If you are anything like me, you probably really enjoy being crafty. You can paint a patriotic themed flower pot, or you can make a wooden flag. The options are endless! 6. Plan a Movie Night Outside! If you have not been able to tell by now, I really like the ideas that involve being outside, and this is no exception. Switch things up from watching movies in your living room, to bringing it outside. Lay out some blankets, make sure you have bug spray, and enjoy those movies you have been missing out on! Consider watching a more patriotic movie! 7. Do your own fireworks! This one is kind of a given, but if you normally go somewhere to watch a fireworks show, plan on doing your own this year. It is really fun, and makes for some good laughs! 8. Make some fun patriotic treats! From fruit salad in the shape of the American Flag, to red, white, and blue cupcakes, the options are endless! Make this holiday that much more festive with your fun ideas! 9. Have a hot dog eating contest! This one may be something you can do without, but if you are up for the challenge, have a friendly competitions to see who can eat the most hot dogs! 10. Host a cookout! This is probably the most common July 4th idea, but I wanted to include it on here, because it is always a fun way to get together with friends and family, while enjoying some good food! We know that this year's holiday may look a little different, but if you are creative, there are some fun, memorable ideas you can do that will make the day just as, if not more special! Who doesn't love a good road trip? We have some good ideas for some essentials you would be thankful you have with you on a road trip! Check out our list below!
These are just a few ideas that we have for you and your next road trip! Let us know which one was your favorite! Summer is finally here, and I feel like everyone is trying to spend some time outside now! If you are like me, you may be more prone to getting sun-burned, more than other people, but don't worry- I got you covered with some of my favorite summer skin care tips to make sure your skin stays healthy in the hot summer sun!
My first tip would definitely be for you to always wear sun screen when you go outside. This is so crucial, and so many people forget (or do not care) to do this. I would recommend to put the first application of sunscreen on even before you go outside, and from there apply more as needed. I would also recommend for you to keep your skin hydrated as well. That means you are making sure that once you are out of the sun, you are applying some sort of lotion to your skin to add that moisture that was all dried up when you were out in the sun all day. This makes your skin healthier and allows your body's natural oils to be replenished. Not only do you want to make sure you are keeping your skin hydrated, but you also want to make sure that you are keeping your body hydrated! Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your time in the sun. It is always good to drink the proper amount of water every single day, and this will help you remember to do so! You also don't want to forget about your lips! Lips are fragile and delicate, and you want to make sure that you are protecting them under the harsh heat. Use lip balm that has SPF in it, and also consider exfoliating your lips as well. While it is nice to wear your bathing suit to get a good tan in the summer, make sure that you bring a cover-up and a hat to protect your skin when you are not wanting to keep it exposed. Hats prevent your scalp from burning, which is something that I personally can forget about sometimes until it comes time for me to brush my hair!! I would say that all of these are the most important skin care tips I would recommend for the summer, and if you follow these tips, you are helping your chances at having healthier and safer skin! We can't wait to see them! Have you recently had to adjust and adapt to working from home? Or are you just getting started? Regardless of your current situation, I am here today to give you some great tips and tricks to make your work days more productive, even when you are at home, very tempted to watch Netflix!
One of the most important things to do when working from home is to act like you are going to see somebody that day. What I mean by that is to get up at a decent time, take a shower, and simply get ready for your day. If you spend the entire day in your pajamas, you are not going to feel or be as productive. I know we all love to be comfortable, and there is definitely nothing wrong with wearing pajamas every now and then. But I promise that if you take the time to shower, fix your hair, put on some normal day clothes (No this does not mean heels, a pencil skirt, and a button-up), then you are going to be more motivated to get your work done! Going hand in hand with this, I would also highly recommend to set up a designated working space where you will stay at throughout the work day. Whether you already have an in-home office, or if you are using your kitchen island or dining room table. Just create a set-up that you know will work for you, and stay in that area while you are working. I would not exactly recommend using your couch or your bed as a setup, as you can be very tempted to watch TV, take a nap, or scroll through your phone. If it is a pretty day, work outside if you have a patio or backyard area! Some other odds and ends things that you can do to make your working from home situation a little easier is 1.) you can play classical music, or have a noise machine on to block out any distracting noises so that you can concentrate on your work in front of you. 2.) prepare a lunch ahead of time. If you have already made a designated lunch, you will not be tempted to eat all of the snacks in your fridge and you will not be tempted to order takeout! 3.) Allow yourself time for breaks. We all need breaks throughout our work day to let our minds take a breather, and even when we are working at home, we still need to allow ourselves to do this! Relax because you have earned it! We hope these tips and tricks have helped you out when it comes to your current working from home situation. Let us know if any of these tips are ones that you practice already! |
